In 1937 Amedeo Ottavianelli decided to form his own company and started producing standard accordions using the craftsmanship he had perfected over many years working in the famous Paolo Soprani factory. In 1975 Amedeo Ottavianelli’s son Ovidio took control of the business continuing his father’s work, and together with a new partner they started specialising in the construction of professional model instruments under the name of Emme Accordions. In 2000 under the direction of the latest generation of the family, Simone & Luca Ottavianelli have now taken the Ottavianelli Accordions Factory to exciting new levels. Drawing on all the experience gained by their forebearers in over 80 years mastering construction they have honoured that rich heritage by remaining faithful to the old-fashioned skills, materials, ethics and techniques, further enhanced by the best modern technology to create a range of highly prized instruments. Every part used in the production is carefully researched and hand selected to ensure only the finest wood, leather, precious metals and other materials are chosen. As for the reeds, they speak for themselves! The dedication, innovation and vision to produce instruments with superb mechanics and superior sounds, the combination of legendary Italian styling and design with 100% Italian manufacture of the highest quality are now being admired, enjoyed and respected by musicians across the world.
